Augmedix, one of the first five certified Glass At Work partners, has announced a $16 million funding round that will help the company continue to bring Google Glass to the healthcare industry.

The company says its medical solutions are already being used in 10 states and by five national health systems. The Augmedix platform helps doctors spend less time dealing with the mountains of data that surround their patients — less time retrieving patient data and less time entering new data into electronic health record systems.

From the company’s press release:

“This new round of funding demonstrates that Google Glass is thriving in the enterprise space, particularly in healthcare,” said Ian Shakil, CEO of Augmedix. “Demand for and reaction to Augmedix have been extremely strong and positive. We’re proud to be making a real difference in patient satisfaction, doctor satisfaction, and health record accuracy. In terms of economic impact, we’ve repeatedly shown that our service effectively turns three doctors into four.”

Augmedix says the new money will be used for expanding operations, further product development and creating new partnerships.

And, if you want to see something pretty cool, scroll down through the company’s About Us page, where every employee is shown wearing Glass. With all the talk about Explorers/consumers losing interest in Glass in recent months, it’s nice to see a company that’s obviously “all in” like that.
