Don’t look now, but the Glassware directory continues to grow more than two months after Google put an end to the Explorer program. And it’s not just growing in quantity; the new apps add some cool and needed quality to the Glass experience, too.

The new batch includes an app that adds some needed functionality to the Glass camera, like the ability to zoom in while recording video. There’s another app that automatically surfaces Instagram photos taken nearby as you’re out and about, and an app that offers daily video lessons for learning sign language. I haven’t had a chance to try any of them yet, but here’s a look at the six new apps in alphabetical order, with their official directory descriptions.

Beer Compass

Beer Compass points the way to the nearest open bar.

CuXtom Cam

This Glassware provides users with an alternate way to take care of all their camera needs. Special features introduced in CuXtom Cam are:
• You can take pictures and record videos without any limitations.
• While recording videos or taking pictures, you can swipe backward for zooming out and swipe forward for zooming in. This can be done using 1 finger or 2 fingers swipes.
• Pictures can be taken by using the camera button or tapping white the viewfinder is being shown.
• Record video for up to one hour with zoom in and zoom out capability.
• A single tap will start and end video recording at any time.

Explore Nearby

Explore Nearby for Glass™ lets you see all of the Instagram photos being snapped around you. Take a walk down the street and it will automatically refresh as you look through walls.

Sign for Glass

Sign for Glass™ is Glassware that sends a sign language video to Glass three times a day, each day. This video displays the name of the sign you are learning. Users can select the times they receive the video. “All we have is time, lets learn to sign”.

WeBSurg

WeBSurg for Glass™ provides educational content in all fields of minimally invasive surgery provided by world-renowned experts. WeBSurg for Glass™ is quick and easy to use. Access and watch all WeBSurg’s surgical videos by saying “ok glass, find a video”.

Whisbi Showroom

Whisbi ShowRoom is an omni-channel Glassware that lets you ‘teleport’ your online customers to physical stores or any place where your products are in less than 5 seconds, no matter what internet-enabled device your customers are using. Show your products to faraway customers through the eyes of your store assistants, by syncing real-time video with a normal phone call. Use the voice command ‘Ok glass, start imaging’ to share a store experience with online customers, helping you improve sales conversion and customer experience.
Requires a Whisbi account.

With this half-dozen added, the Glassware directory now has a total of 124 apps.
