It is that time of year again!
Reflecting back on 2015, the wearable tech market has further grown and matured. Both in scale and impact, it is a force to be reckoned with in cure and care. Connected apps; API and app aggregators and wearable sensors are reshaping the healthcare environment as we know it. Electronic patient files are getting ready for secure data transfer options; but is the healthcare profession able to keep up with the pace? Remote health guidance for patients, hands-free support for medical practitioners, continuous healthcare monitoring; how do we all benefit the most whilst preserving our much valued human interface?
Rapidly evolving from the gadget status into mainstream use in healthcare, many healthcare practitioners are intrigued but also ambiguous. The market push is enormous, patient anticipations alike. It is of great importance for medical practitioners to interact on the subject, to share and enjoy viewpoints, studies and initiatives. And that is precisely why WATCH has been legally founded as an International Medical Society this very year. A Society for and by medical practitioners, focusing on valid use of wearable technology in healthcare -for us all to benefit.
With two CME-accredited, well visited Conferences in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, WATCH is out there to connect and contribute on valid use of wearable technology from the medical practitioners perspective.
