Eric Schmidt, Google’s executive chairman, told The Wall Street Journal today that reports of the demise of Google Glass aren’t just exaggerated, they’re untrue.

“There’s nothing about adjusting Glass that suggests we’re ending it,” Schmidt said, adding that the purpose of Tony Fadell’s oversight of the technology is to “make it ready for users.”

His remarks about Glass were published less than a week after Astro Teller, director of the company’s GoogleX research labs, talked openly at a South by Southwest session about things Google got right and got wrong about the Explorer program.
