2015 has started with a pair of new apps added to the official Glassware directory.

MultiCamSync

The newest is called MultiCamSync, and the name pretty much gives away what it does. This app records videos via Glass that can be synced via timestamp and location with other Glass videos — effectively giving you the ability to work with Glass-wearing friends to create multi-camera video shoots (as shown in the image above). There are some sample videos on MultiCamSync.com that you can check out to get the idea.

Here’s the official description:

MultiCamSync records a video with real time sensor and timing information for each frame, making it possible to later display several recordings with automatic perfect sync and display location on a map that updates as Glass moves.

There’s an iOS/Android app called Vyclone that does pretty much the same thing, so it’s cool to see this idea come to Glass, too.

izi.TRAVEL

This is a European-based app that’s already been available for both Android and iOS and works with the izi.travel website. The idea here is that folks like you and me can make our own audio-visual travel guides for others to enjoy. It sounds like what GuidiGO is doing, but with crowdsourced content.

Both apps are available now in the Glassware directory, which now has a total of 114 apps.
